1. When does the course start and finish?
The full course is available right now! You can begin learning immediately after enrolling and go through the lessons at your own pace.

2. How long do I have access to the course?
You have access for the lifetime of the course. After enrolling, you have unlimited access for as long as you like—across any and all devices you own. If the course is updated or moved to a new platform, you’ll receive access to the new version as well.

3. What topics are covered in the course?
Honeybee Bootcamp teaches you everything you need to get started with beekeeping in Arizona (and other hot climates). Topics include:

• Hive equipment and setup
• Bee biology and behavior
• Installing your first hive
• Seasonal hive management in hot climates
• Feeding, watering, and keeping bees cool
• Varroa mite monitoring and treatment
• Harvesting honey and waxPreparing your bees for long-term success

4. Is this course only for Arizona beekeepers?
While the course is designed with Arizona’s unique climate in mind, the lessons apply to most hot-weather regions. Even if you live outside Arizona, you’ll benefit from the training.

5. Do I need bees or equipment before taking the course?
No! Honeybee Bootcamp will guide you through what to buy (and what not to buy) so you don’t waste money. It’s perfect to take before you get bees, but it’s also helpful if you already have a hive and want extra support.

6. Can I rewatch lessons?
Yes! You can revisit the lessons any time. Many students like to rewatch seasonal topics throughout the year as they apply them in their own hives.

7. Who teaches the course?
The course is taught by me, Cricket Ungvary, the creator of Garden Variety Bees, an experienced Arizona beekeeper and teacher who helps new and intermediate beekeepers succeed in a desert climate.

8. Is there a community of other new beekeepers I can connect with?
I’m glad you asked! When you purchase the Honeybee Bootcamp course you get to join the Honeybee Bootcamp Private Facebook Group. From there you can ask questions and get real-time answers. We will also have regular live streams to of hive inspections.
